‘HEDWIG’, IS AN INTIMATE HOMAGE TO HIS WIFE SARA. to serve her inclination towards tea and reading, ericsson wanted to make a seat that was comfortable for extended periods of time, and able


to accommodate a steaming cup of tea. the name comes from his wife’s childhood, when she wanted nothing more than to be called ‘hedwig’. ‘hedwig’ chair by david ericsson THE DESIGN ITSELF


IS CATERED TO WOODEN CONSTRUCTION, with emphasis on craftsmanship and hand-skill. stretched leather is paired with a beech frame, which ericsson developed as a historical reference to


swedish furniture designer axel einar hjorth. THE CHAIR IS TOPPED OFF WITH SCULPTURAL, ROUNDED ARMRESTS JUST RIGHT FOR A CUP OF TEA. ‘hedwig’, designed by david ericsson, is produced by
