motorcycle company is now 100 years old. And on its centenary, the Indian Motorcycle has launched the 2022 line-up of its famed Chief motorcycles in India. The swash-buckling, heavy-duty
cruiser bike range starts from Rs 20.75 lakh (ex-Showroom price). The launch saw the unveiling of the complete 2020 Chief line-up which consists of Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse, Chief Dark
Horse and Indian Super Chief Limited models. As per the company statement, all the motorcycles are based on a “timeless, simplistic steel-tube frame and powered by Indian Motorcycle’s
powerful Thunderstroke motor,” further mentioning that the three models offer “three unique takes on the classic American V-twin, each appealing to a slightly different rider.” >

The 2022 Chief range comes with a 15.1-litre fuel tank, bobbed rear fender, dual exhaust, LED lighting, dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks, Pirelli Night Dragon tires and keyless
ignition. The bikes boast features like cruise control, and riders have three throttle options: sport, standard or tour. ABS comes standard and the bike looks stunning with premium
workmanship and fine-crafter finishing. The bikes feature a short wheelbase (1626 mm), a low height seat (662 mm) and have a low wet weight (304 kg). The bikes are famed for their comfort
and ergonomics fit for long tireless rides. The 2022 Chief line-up motorcycles get their thrust from the Indian Motorcycle’s Thunderstroke 116 engine with a capacity of 1890cc and torque of
162 Nm. The Chief and Chief Bobber Dark Horse variants come in glossy black finish, while the Super Chief Limited features chrome finishing.
