sources said today. The Indian government is aware where the leads go on who was behind the Varanasi bomb blast, but would not like to speculate at this stage whether there was any foreign

hand, official sources said today. Sources said it was too early to say with a kind of certainty whether any external forces had a hand in the Tuesday's attack which left a baby girl

dead. But, the government knows where the leads go, the sources said. Investigating agencies are getting bits and pieces of inputs and have not finished connecting the dots. The sources said

there is no reason to disbelieve a claim by terror outfit Indian Mujahideen that they were behind the attacks. They, however, noted that the authenticity of the IM claim is being verified.

The government is clear that certain rump elements of the IM were behind the bomb blast. They also said it is known fact that IM has links with the Pakistan-based LeT, blamed for the Mumbai

attacks.
