PERFORMANCE COACH - WOMEN'S FIRST TEAM BACKGROUND We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable and committed Head Coach to lead our talented women’s 1st team for the 2025/26 season and
beyond. We are excited to welcome an ambitious and skilled coach who is ready to build on already strong foundations as we look to regain National League status. BACKGROUND: East London
Hockey Club is a large, inclusive club based in the London Boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets. It is well established and operates 9 women's teams, 8 men's teams and a growing
youth section. Based at Lea Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, our Women’s 1st team achieved National League status in 2019 and enjoyed 5 seasons competing in England Hockey Vitality Women’s
Conference East. Returning to London Prem this year, we are looking to secure promotion back to the National League with a coach who can get the most from our talented and experienced squad.
RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with the club & team captains to set objectives and overall plan for the season(s). * Attend all Women’s 1st team matches on Saturdays as Head Coach. * Deliver
effective team tactics on match days with adaptability. * Work closely with the Women’s 2nd team coaches to plan & lead great pre-season training sessions. * Plan & lead twice weekly
training sessions through the season. * Take part in weekly club and team selection, in collaboration with captains and coaches. * Monitor performance and provide feedback to players. *
Foster a positive and inclusive team environment. * Help identify leading young players across ELHC, working with other coaches and captains to manage their development towards the
performance teams. EXPERIENCE & APPROACH: * Proven ability to coach at a comparable level. (Experience at National League highly desirable.) * You must be eligible to work in the UK and
hold a valid UK/EU passport or valid work permit. * Speak a good standard of English and have strong communication and people skills. * Energy and enthusiasm for the role. * Commitment to
fostering a supportive and inclusive team environment. * Enthusiasm for developing existing senior and youth players and helping attract new players. PAY This is a paid position with
remuneration to be confirmed based on qualifications and experience. Please note we do not offer work VISAs or accommodation with this position. The position is available from August 2025
onwards, in preparation for the 2025/2026 season.
