Hawks Hockey Club is a junior only club based at Worth School, near Crawley in Sussex. Formed in 2024, we have grown in one season to ~250 junior members and achieved huge success, winning
all categories of local In2Hockey tournaments, good league success with U14/U16's and a semi-final in the club championships. Our goal at Hawks is to not muddy junior hockey with the
complications of an adult section and to provide high-quality coaching focused on fun and inclusivity. AGE GROUP COACHES REQUIRED After a successful first season, we are looking to expand
our coaching team and require lead age group coaches for our U14 squads (boys or girls). Each squad will have an "A team" and "B team" and the lead coach will be
required to plan & deliver training sessions to provide the right mix of stretch, fun and participation for the different needs of each team. The age group will be allocated one 1.5
hour training session on a weekday evening and will play matches every Sunday. The idea candidate will be able to commit to every midweek training session and coach as many games as possible
(alternating between teams to ensure they understand the needs of all players). You will be supported both on-pitch with experienced volunteers and off-pitch with team managers who will
take care of all the admin/communications...... you just need to understand the goals for the squad and plan/deliver a season long coaching program to achieve the performance and
participation requirements of the club. Our Director of Hockey, Calum Giles, will be onhand to provide guidance on the program and this is a great opportunity for a coach to gain insight
from one of the most experienced coaches in the country. Hawks goal is to send all juniors who take part in our clubs activity in to adulthood with a passion for hockey. The number one
objective is always to ensure they return next season to continue their enjoyment and development.
