West Tamar Council, City of Launceston council and Flinders Council have or will hold their meetings this year.
However, the other five have been forced to move theirs to next year.
An extension of three months was granted by Premier Gutwein under the COVID-19 Disease Emergency Act on October 28. It moved the deadline for councils to hold their AGMs from December 15 to
March 15 as financial audits had been held up.

As a delay in receiving their Tasmanian Audit Office opinion would not make it possible to hold in December. Therefore their annual report could be endorsed at the January meeting to allow
sufficient time for the public to make submissions.
The Northern Midlands Council will also follow suit for the same reason and move its meeting from December 14 to a future date in 2021. However, the exact date is yet to be announced.
Similarly the Meander Valley Council submitted its finance report in August to the TAO, but will also move its meeting to January 2021 because it only received the TAO's opinion back last
month. The opinion features in the council's December meeting agenda.
The Dorset Council was due to hold its AGM on November 16, but had to move it to a future date next year. The exact date remains unknown at this stage. It was moved also as the TAO report on
the council's finances was delayed.
For the Dorset, Meander Valley and the Northern Midlands councils the exact date of their AGMs will be announced and advertised as soon as known.
