The M1 has been closed by police as queues build following a crash. According to the traffic management system, Inrix, the M1 northbound has been closed from junction 46 at the A6120 William


Parkin Way to junction 47 at the A656. Congestion is building up as a result all the way to junction 44. Traffic is being released from the rear. In addition, a diversion is in place


through the exit at junction 46, before taking the third exit to the A63, following along to the A1(M) junction 42. You then go to the first exit to join the A1(M) and continue heading


north. Inrix said: "M1 Northbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident from J46 A6120 William Parkin Way (Leeds Colton / Garforth) to J47 A656 (Garforth / Micklefield). Congestion


to before J44 (Leeds South). "Cameras show trapped traffic is currently being released from the rear end. Ongoing since around 2.50pm. Diversion - exit at J46, third exit to the A63,
