An investigation is underway after a man died in a flat fire in a Sheffield street. South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Crews were called to Erskine Street at around 8.30pm Monday, June 2, to


tackle the fire which had started on the ground floor bedroom of a flat. Firefighters at the scene were reportedly able to recovered the man, who was in his 50s, but he was unfortunately


pronounced dead at the scene. In a statement, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue told ITV: "An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin on Tuesday, June 3.
