Three men have been arrested after a boy suffered life-changing injuries in a hit-and-run in West Yorkshire. West Yorkshire Police were called after the 16-year-old boy was hit while riding
an electrically assisted bicycle in Peep Green Road, Hartshead, in Liversedge. He was hit by at least one vehicle which left the scene between 9.05pm and 9.13pm on Friday, May 2. It is
believed two cars may have been racing one another before he was struck. The teenager was just minutes from home when he was hit. The mother of the Mirfield Free Grammar School pupil, who
was weeks away from sitting his GCSEs, previously said surgeons were working to save his right leg. Now, the force has confirmed three men, all aged 30, have been arrested on suspicion of
causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Officers are appealing for anyone who saw anything, to get in touch. They are particularly looking to hear from anyone who saw a white Volkswagen
Touareg with panoramic black sunroof and tinted windows, which is likely to have a damaged wing mirror. A force spokesman said: "Police investigating a fail to stop collision in
