Olly Murs has been forced to cancel a major gig, leaving fans heartbroken. The pop sensation was due to perform at the Hydro in Glasgow tonight, supporting Take That, but had to pull out at
the last minute. The venue broke the news on their social media channels, stating: "We are sorry to advise, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond anyone's control, Olly Murs
cannot perform tonight (Friday) in Glasgow. We're very sorry for the inconvenience." The singer took to Twitter to express his disappointment and frustration, revealing that he had
been stuck at London Heathrow since 11 am due to multiple delays and a cabin crew incident which resulted in his British Airways flight being cancelled. He wrote: "Don't think
I've ever missed a gig before, am so annoyed! But am now in a car heading up for our 6hr journey for the Saturday and Sundays show right now." Fans were quick to react to the
disappointing news on social media, with many expressing their frustration and disappointment. One fan bluntly stated: "Olly no excuse!! We really wanted to see you.. NOT
HAPPY.!!!", reports OK!. One fan commented with frustration: "So you gonna reimburse everyone who came to see you tonight then? ? Absolute joke! Should have planned it
better!". On the other hand, some supporters expressed empathy, acknowledging that circumstances can sometimes derail plans. A fan soothingly stated: "Don't be too hard on
yourself Murzy. We know you will be gutted to miss a show. Even when Little Maddie was born you made it to the show..these things can't be helped. Bloody BA. Safe journey." Another
sympathiser conveyed his disappointment but recognised the unavoidable nature of such events, saying: "Aww gutted for you and the fans tonight, these things happen though
unfortunately. Safe travels". Meanwhile, Olly Murs kept his army of fans informed about the circumstance via a series of Instagram stories, expressing his sincere apologies and profound
sadness. In one video shared from the airport, he admitted: "I'm extremely gutted/ I don't think I've ever missed a gig, that I can recall, especially of this
magnitude." Despite the setback, the cheerful singer sent out his best wishes to fans gathering for the Take That concert, before extending one more apology for the unforeseen events
that precluded him from gracing the stage. The popstar, in his late thirties and former X Factor champion, recently celebrated the arrival of his newborn daughter Madison with his young
wife, Amelia Tank. Whilst juggling the responsibilities of new fatherhood, Olly is presently on tour supporting Take That, who are traversing the globe for their worldwide tour, titled This
Life, encompassing UK and Ireland dates.
