WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD. WandaVision episode 9 concluded with two end-credits scenes today teasing the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and Disney+ shows. And it looks like

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Secret Invasion were the main references. The first end credits scene saw Monica Rambeau being invited into the Westview cinemas by an agent

who turned out to be a Skrull in disguise sent by an old friend of her mother’s. Fans will know that Monica, when she was a girl, featured in the 1990s-set Captain Marvel movie. This friend,

who presumably is Nick Fury, wants to meet with the S.W.O.R.D. agent – but where? Well, the Skrull pointed upwards which implies the S.W.O.R.D. space station as last seen in the end credits

scene that Nick Fury had been in space all along, while the Skrull Talos had been disguised as him for the whole movie on Earth. So what is WandaVision’s mid-credits scene teasing other than

the upcoming Secret Invasion Disney+ show? Fans of the comics will remember this storyline saw the Skrulls invade Earth by secretly replacing many of the Marvel superheroes over a number of

years. Of course, the Skrulls in the MCU turned out to be good guys compared to the villains in the comics, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Secret Invasion show comes together. It’s

not clear where this is but perhaps Scarlet Witch has returned to her native Sokovia for some peace and quiet. The camera then follows Wanda inside where her kettle has boiled, but in the

bedroom, we find the real Scarlet Witch studying Agatha Harkness’ Darkhold aka the Book of the Damned. This scene is reminiscent of the first Doctor Strange movie in which Stephen Strange

was studying to be a sorcerer in his astral projection form while his physical body slept. However, this could be the real Wanda studying while the one getting tea is her projection. So what

does this scene mean for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in which Wanda stars? Well the Darkhold contains information on the Scarlet Witch she wants to learn, but according to

Screen Rant she could be corrupted by reading the book which might lead to tears in the Marvel multiverse. Also, right at the end of the scene, Wanda can hear her twins Billy and Tommy

crying out to her; perhaps from another reality? No doubt wanting to resurrect them could lead to the multiverse of madness. _DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS HITS CINEMAS ON
