It’s been suggested that the character is a Maledictus, played by Claudia Kim, could be a big link to another iconic character in JK Rowling’s universe. We already know that she’s one of the
acts in the Circus Arcanus - most likely the Enchanting Snake Girl. The evidence? Look at the hints of snakeskin in her costume in today’s image reveal. It’s noteworthy also that
Maledictus, according to Pottermore, is a character who “suffers from a blood curse that turns [her] into a beast” - which we can probably quite safely assume is, in this instance, a snake.
Digital Spy have therefore pointed out that she could go on to be none other than Nagini, Voldemort’s pet and horcrux. Indeed, one fan said on Twitter today: “Maledictus could simply be
another werewolf but I have a theory: her blood curse ultimately turns her into a serpent, possibly even Nagini. Going off of costuming choices. #FantasticBeasts.” Today, Fantastic Beasts
and Where To Find Them 2 was given the official moniker Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The announcement came ahead of the release in exactly one year's time - which will
be around two years since the first movie. David Yates is directing the follow-up to last year’s box office hit, which is again written by JK Rowling - the woman who, of course, created the
whole Harry Potter universe. A post on Pottermore revealed that the plot sees Grindelwald (Depp) escaping custody and gathering followers to his “nefarious cause”, after being captured at
the close of the first film. Newt Scamander (Redmayne) will then be enlisted by Dumbledore to help stop him, in an adventure that will span various countries. _FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES
OF GRINDELWALD IS OUT ON NOVEMBER 16, 2018._
