The latest Red Dead Online release date news (Image: ROCKSTAR GAMES) Red Dead Redemption 2 is the latest AAA game to push the boundaries of what the PS4 and Xbox One consoles can achieve.
Both pleasant to look at and easy to run on all consoles, the only drawback is the games massive install size. It takes up a big chunk of hard drive space, and RDR2 could be expanding to an
even larger size in the near future. While there are many activities that can distract you from the sprawling main quest line, one of the biggest is set to be released later this month. PS4
and Xbox One gamers will soon get a brand new piece of content from Rockstar Games for free. This will come in the form of the Red Dead Online beta, the next major multiplayer project from
the creators of GTA Online. The new mode will use single-player as a template to help build a unique online gameplay experience. RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2: TRAILER FOR ‘WESTERN-THEMED’ VIDEO
GAME This will take cues from GTA Online but is also set to offer its own unique style, based around the slower pace of Red Dead Redemption 2. SO WHEN DOES RED DEAD ONLINE COME OUT ON PS4
AND XBOX ONE? Rockstar Games are planning to bring a massive new online experience to Red Dead Redemption 2 in November 2018. A new online beta has been announced for later this month, with
many expecting it to go live during the last week of November. Parent company Take-Two Interactive has made it clear that Red Dead Online won't be available until near the end of the
month, although, no set release date has been announced. Take-Two Interactive's Strauss Zelnick provided more information on the Red Dead Redemption 2 Online release date during a
recent earnings call: "It's way too early to talk about Red Dead Redemption 2 Online, it hasn't released yet. RELATED ARTICLES "It will launch in public beta towards the
end of the month, and Rockstar will have a lot more to say about it. We're not making any current predictions." Zelnick was answering a question on how he thought Red Dead Online
would compare to the release of GTA Online. This update probably means that a delay won’t affect Red Dead Online like it did the original single-player experience. Fans had to weather
several release date changes and wait a lot of extra months before they could buy it on PS4 and Xbox One. There has also been no word on how the new Red Dead Online beta could expand the
current game size. There’s a chance it will be minimal, as Rockstar Games will be using the map already found in the single-player campaign. A new trailer is expected to be released in the
coming days that will shed more light on Rockstar’s plans. Until then, making predictions for when a beta may start is always a little dangerous, but we would suggest the last week of
November as a good candidate. Somewhere between Tuesday, November 26 and Thursday, November 28, seems like a good bet. The Red Dead Online beta begins later this month (Image: ROCKSTAR
GAMES) And as Red Dead Online will start as a beta, a lot of server disruption is expected over the first month, with large numbers of players predicted. Everyone with a copy of the game on
PS4 and Xbox One will be able to play online without needing to buy an expansion pack. The only drawback is that both consoles will likely require players to have either a PS Plus or Xbox
Live Gold subscription. Here’s what Rockstar Games has shared about the multiplayer project so far: “Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online
will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players. “Red Dead Online is planned
for launch in November 2018, initially as a public beta, with more news to come soon. As with most online experiences of this size and scale, there will inevitably be some turbulence at
launch.” Rockstar hasn’t confirmed if Red Dead Online will be set before or after the events of Red Dead 2. What they have confirmed is that they will be using some of GTA Online’s best
content as a template to use for their own work. That doesn’t mean we will see Red Dead Online heists in the mould of GTA 5, but more they hope to combine narrative and gameplay into
something special for the multiplayer experience. Speaking to IGN about Red Dead Online, Rockstar’s Josh Needleman reveals: “Red Dead Redemption 2 will take those ideas much further and
combine that with everything we’ve learned in the years since then favourite elements from Grand Theft Auto Online about how to make really fun and complex competitive and cooperative
experiences in open worlds, and how to introduce narrative elements into multiplayer...” “Like the single-player game’s story of Arthur Morgan, we want people to settle into their online
characters and feel like every activity makes sense for the character, the setting and the time. This should feel intimate and personal while still feeling fun and action-packed from moment
to moment. “We’ve tried to take the best elements and best content packs from Grand Theft Auto Online and use them for templates for what we are making here. We feel Grand Theft Auto Online
really only found its feet creatively with Heists. “That pack, along with After Hours, The Doomsday Heist, Gun Running and a few others represent the best of Grand Theft Auto Online, and
provided the template for what we wanted to use here, (not in terms of content, obviously, but how they combined narrative, gameplay, modes and other content into a cohesive thematic whole)
alongside all of the elements we liked from the old Red Dead Redemption multiplayer.” Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has also dropped hints about the scope the company has planned for the
new multiplayer experience. “My belief is that Red Dead Redemption 2 will shatter expectations and that the online experience also will be extraordinary, but unexpected. And my view is that
all great hits are, by their very nature, unexpected. “So that’s the goal. There is an expectation around the table, here, of course, there’s an expectation at Rockstar Games, and there is
an expectation on the part of consumers.”
