Season 5 update ahead of schedule. Reports online suggest that the Call of Duty Season 5 update is already available to some PlayStation 4 fans. Titled update 1.24, the new Modern Warfare

and Warzone update weighs in at a massive 36GB. On the plus side, it's said to reduce the overall file size for the game going forward. While fans are currently able to download the

update now, it can't be installed until the morning of August 5. Fingers crossed Activision pulls a similar stunt for the Xbox One and PC Season 5 updates. In terms of patch notes, all

of the Season 5 details are under wraps until August 5. However, according to a post on Update Crazy, update 1.24 makes one or two bug fixes ahead of Season 5. This includes fixing audio

and Modern Warfare season is almost certain to open the doors to the Stadium. Activision and Infinity Ward hinted as much in a recent tweet: "If the Stadium had a name, what would it

be? Our doors are open to ideas." The upcoming Call of Duty season also adds a new faction known as Shadow Company. "Each Season the narrative of Modern Warfare continues to

advance," reads an Activision post. "New enemies, heroes, and those with more clandestine reasons for being within the theater of war have risen to fill the void left by AQ forces,

ready to counter the emerging threat posed by Mr.Z. "As Season Five approaches, events have transpired and led to the formation of a new group aligned in name only with the Allegiance

faction – Shadow Company."
