Your amazon echo is about to enjoy a new trick worth shouting about

Play all audios:

In a blog post announcing the feature, Amazon says families with be able to send messages such as “Does anyone want anything from the grocery store?”. To start a Drop In conversation, you

only need to ask Alexa to "Drop In Everywhere". Then, you'll just need to speak the question you want to beam to smart speakers across the home. And that's not all.

Similar functionality has been added to the reminder feature. Amazon Echo owners can now choose “all devices” when setting a reminder. This will allow the reminders to be played across all

Alexa hardware in the home, so everyone will get the nudge. To enable the feature, head to Settings within the Alexa companion app on your smartphone, before tapping REMINDERS, then ticking

ANNOUNCE ON ALL DEVICES. Unfortunately, the latest feature is only available in the United States right now. Amazon frequently launches new functionality on home turf, before adapting for

regional differences. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long to make the necessary tweaks and UK-based Echo owners will be able to save their voices with the upgraded Drop In feature

soon.
