The Amazon Echo Dot with clock might be one of our favourite smart speakers but there's now a way to get one of its best features for much less money. The Echo Flex only costs £24 with
this device plugging straight into the wall socket to easily add Alexa to any room in your home. It's pretty basic but a new accessory is now making it far more useful. The Smart Clock
for Flex has just gone on sale in the US with it simply plugging into the base of this smart device to add a screen which can then display the time. This mini screen can also show countdown
timers and the brightness and time format can also be controlled via Alexa voice commands. It's worth noting that it's been created by the team at Third Reality but it is certified
as "Made for Amazon" meaning it's fully compatible with the Flex. It costs $14.99 (£11.49) and when added to the price of the Flex itself it's cheaper than buying an
Echo Dot with clock (£49.99). READ MORE: YOUR AMAZON ECHO HAS A NEW TRICK AND IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING YOU'LL LOVE There's no word on a UK launch just yet but Third Reality already
sells a number of accessories for the Flex on the amazon.co.uk website, including a neat little Night Light, so we could see a release in the coming weeks or months. If you already own any
Echo then Amazon has just released another swathe of new commands to bark at Alexa and there's plenty of things you may not have tried before. Here's a full list of new things to
ask your Alexa-powered smart speaker today. “Alexa, open Simon's Cat Sounds” _Chat with Simon's cat._ “Alexa, what’s the animal of the day?” “Alexa, what’s my Flash Briefing?”
