Prince George, six, and Princess Charlotte, four, sent royal fans into a spin when they joined their parents Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William for their first-ever Christmas Day
church service in Sandringham this year. While the Cambridge family is based at Kensington Palace during term time they often spend the school holidays away from the capital.
Kate and William took their three children - George, Charlotte and little Prince Louis, one, to spend Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham.
While royal family members usually stick around for a day or two after Christmas it seems the Cambridges stayed in Norfolk for most of the break.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s’ appearance at church alongside the Queen on Sunday suggests they spent the holidays at their Norfolk residence Anmer Hall.
Anmer Hall is a short drive from the Queen’s Sandringham estate and the country home is said to be Prince George’s favourite base.

George was reported to have celebrated his sixth birthday there with friends last summer.
Kate is also said to love the stunning Georgian retreat which she and William received as a wedding gift from the Queen in 2011.
Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend St Thomas’s primary school in Battersea and will be back in London for the start of a new term on Tuesday.
Prince Charlotte started at St Thomas’s in October and adorable photos of her arriving for her first day were published across the world.
