Royal expert Rhiannon Mills argued the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have formed an ideal partnership with Netflix that will allow them to tell their own stories on an international platform.
However, the royal expert also highlighted questions will be asked about how much experience Meghan Markle and Prince Harry really have in the process of TV production and how much the
streaming service will be paying the couple. Meghan and Harry are hoping to become financially independent after stepping down for their senior royal roles. Ms Mills told Sky News: "I
think lots of people will be wondering exactly how much Netflix have decided to pay the couple for what I think will be an incredibly high-profile partnership. "This couple are known
around the world, but people will wonder exactly how much experience they have when it comes to the whole process of TV making. "Certainly, Prince Harry has been used to getting

that has been the big problem for them in the past." She continued: "That is why in some ways they felt constrained by the Royal Family, that is why they wanted to step away.
"This allows them now to tell their own story and have a huge international platform." During the same interview, Ms Mills said the deal struck between the Duke and Duchess of
Sussex and Netflix is not motivated by Meghan Markle making a return to acting. She also told told Sky News: "I also understand that it does not mean that the Duchess does not want to
return to acting." In a statement the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said regarding the partnership: "Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to
understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection. "Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on
people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. "As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to
us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens."
