The Royal Family started owning Pembroke Welsh corgis when the Queen was a child, and her line of canines blossomed with one named Susan. The monarch received Susan as a princess on her 18th
birthday in 1944. She has raised 30 of Susan's descendants since then, but the last one died in 2018. Neither of the Queen's remaining dogs were purebred corgis.
