Harry and Meghan are proving divisive figures on either side of the pond. US conservative commentator Candace Owens lashed out at the couple following Harry’s podcast discussion about his

life as a royal, with actor and mental health advocate, Dax Shepard. Ms Owens accused Harry and Meghan of speaking out publicly despite telling the world that they were quitting the Royal

Family so they could have more privacy. Royal aides have also been angered by Harry and Meghan’s accusations and have reportedly urged the Queen to “strip them of their titles”. In 2020, the

couple released an official statement to announce their departure from the Firm and when they sat down with Oprah Winfrey they explained to the world that their reasons for leaving were

down to a number of factors which included security, racial undertones, concerns for Meghan’s mental health being ignored and the fact that Harry believed that his brother Prince William and

his father Prince Charles were “trapped” in the royal system. With all the controversy surrounding Harry and Meghan, it could be possible that the pair wished they could take their romance

back to the early days when nobody knew of the relationship’s existence. In an Amazon Prime documentary titled ‘Meghan Markle: Hollywood to Windsor,’ royal correspondent Eve Pollard said:

“They were camping underneath the stars - I don’t think it is camping as you and I quite know it was probably a lot more luxurious than that. “Meghan and Harry only went on two dates - she

was going back to Canada and he was going back to work in Africa when he said ‘meet me in my tent’ and that is what happened. “No time was lost.” Meghan officially joined the Royal Family in

2018. According to royal experts, the relationship became a whirlwind romance - after they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend - because Meghan was working in Canada so they

a digital screen and sent birthday wishes to her son Archie while setting up a campaign in his name that raised over $600,000 to help secure coronavirus vaccine donations. Harry appeared on

the Armchair Podcast with Dax Shepard to discuss his mental health experiences - he also explained how much better Meghan’s mental health is - now that she has quit the Firm and they both

feel that they want to create a life that is “better than being a princess”.
