When it comes to art beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So it stands to reason that any new royal portrait will have those who love it - and others who think it’s awful. And it seems as

though a new portrait of the Princess of Wales, 42, that is set to feature on the cover of Tatler magazine is also dividing opinion. The painting - which honours Princess Kate’s courage and

dignity - is by British-Zambian artist Hannah Uzor took inspiration from Kate's cancer diagnosis video message to the nation. The image in the portrait also captures her first state

to her role [as the Princess of Wales]. "She was born for this. She carries herself with such dignity, elegance and grace." But after it was unveiled on social media yesterday,

Wednesday, May 23, royal fans shared their own thoughts on the painting. On Instagram one fan commented: "This is no resemblance [of] her at all." Another said that it looked

"absolutely nothing like her" and one said that there was "No resemblance". One wrote: "What a terrible terrible portrait of the Princess of Wales!!! Who allowed

that to be on the front cover??? Even published by Tatler!!!" LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF THE PORTRAIT IN OUR POLL BELOW OR CLICK HERE. The Princess of Wales announced in March that

she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy after post-operative tests found cancer was present - and stood back from royal duties until she's given the go-ahead to return by doctors.

It’s the second royal portrait in a matter of weeks to have raised eyebrows - the first being one of King Charles in a sea of red. King Charles's first official portrait as monarch has

left Royal Family fans online confused - one describing it as "disturbing" and "off-putting". Artist Jonathan Yeo, known for his "highly figurative canvases and

striking collages", was commissioned to paint the portrait, which was unveiled at Buckingham Palace. One said on X: "Anybody else find the new portrait of King Charles III

incredibly disturbing and off-putting?" Another added: "King Charles new portrait is absolutely fecking hideous, looks like he is burning in hell", while a third said:

"the official portrait of King Charles makes him look as though he's mostly known for a massacre of Communists in 1920 in Siberia." SO WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE NEW PRINCESS
