Police were called to the house of Prime Minister hopeful Boris Johnson this morning. Neighbours said they heard a loud altercation at the Camberwell home, which he shares with his

31-year-old girlfriend Carrie Symonds. The Guardian reported police were alerted early in the morning after neighbours heard shouting and banging.  Scotland Yard said a neighbour of the

property was “concerned for the welfare of a female neighbour”. WHY WERE POLICE CALLED TO BORIS JOHNSON’S HOME? The Metropolitan Police responded to a call from a local resident at 12.24am

on Friday. A neighbour said they heard shouting early in the morning and were concerned. They had knocked on the door but received no response. The Metropolitan Police confirmed they talked

to the occupants at the address. Three police vehicles were sent to the scene and arrived just minutes after the phone call. Police said they found nothing untoward and left after speaking

to the occupants. A police spokesman said: “The caller was concerned for the welfare of a female neighbour. “Police attended and spoke to all occupants of the address, who were all safe and

well. “There were no offences or concerns apparent to the officers and there was no cause for police action.” The latest news comes as Boris Johnson prepares to start hustings for the

Conservative leadership elections next month.
