48-year-old Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk. The couple announced their marriage of three years was over at the end of last month. Speaking on Channel 5 earlier today, Mrs Danczuk said her split

from the former Labour councillor was actually "very amicable" - despite reports suggesting the pair had been locked in a public spat. She also insisted that her marriage was a

"private matter" and denied that her and her husband are at loggerheads. She said: "I don't think [the public] need to know about it and Simon doesn't think [the

public] need to know about it. We are private in our life. "What has been played out, that we are absolutely against each other and hate each other, is not true at all." She added:

"It's a private matter, and it's a private matter between me, Simon and our boys." Following the announcement of their split, Mr Danczuk said he suspected his wife of

cheating with her personal fitness coach, Ben Bate - who denies the affair. Mr Danczuk told The Sun: "It would not surprise me if it had been going on for four or five months. What more

proof do I need?" But Mrs Danczuk was quick to blast his accusations and retaliated by calling him "arrogant" and an "alcoholic" on Twitter. When questioned about

her furious tweets, the self-proclaimed selfie queen admitted that she was left seething by the reports. She said: "I am human, whether I am in the public eye, whether I am not in the

public eye, I am human and I get upset by things. "If something has been printed that is just completely not correct about me and is completely wrong, then I have an end of a

"I've not been having an affair. There is no affair. I've never had an affair. There won't be an affair. There is just no affair. "I have not talked about

intimacies, that is just incorrect and I have not done all these different stories." Mrs Danczuk has two children, both boys, aged seven and five, with Mr Danczuk - who has moved out of

their bungalow in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. They had been in a relationship for eight years.
