The red ceramic display – visited by more than five million people last year – can be seen from today at Woodhorn colliery museum in Ashington, Northumberland. Thousands of the poppies


cascade from the old pit wheel in a work called the Weeping Window. The display is touring Britain as part of the 14-18 NOW programme to honour fallen soldiers. The poppies will be at the


colliery till November 1. Eventually, they will be given to the Imperial War Museum in London.
