party or a ‘French Ukip’, Paviot said: “I think it’s more of a French Ukip. “There is very much the question of identity… across the French spectrum - people are concerned about security,
and France is still under a state of emergency, about immigration. “It’s hard to call the Front National a fascist party. “They are clearly an extreme far right party, what has softened is
the image and the brand, due to Marine Le Pen herself. He added: “The message also has softened, but I think when you look at the core policies it’s still about immigration, law and order,
identity politics.”
