Will Geddes spoke of how crucial it was that British people planning to travel to Spain must not be put off by ISIS.  The terrorist group has sent a “direct ISIS threat” to Spanish hotspots,

a government report warned.  In the threat released by the Spanish government, it suggests that hundreds of nationals have headed to Iraq and Syria to fight for the terror group. Holiday

bookings to Spain have increased following the horrific Tunisia beach massacre and speaking to talkRADIO the security expert insisted that the British public must not be put off.  He said:

“I think we are becoming much more accustomed and used to the fact that unfortunately terrorism prevails everywhere.  “In many ways we still have to be quite pragmatic, in the risks of

walking into central London, or Manchester or Birmingham, or any other major city in the UK, presents its own risks over our own domestic terrorism issues.  “The same applies to any major

city across Europe.” Spain remains at level four of the anti-terror alert, the second highest of a scale of five and the same ranking as the UK. The official document released by ISIS claims

that the terrorist group have “been publishing in Spanish, which means an increase in the risk of its influence on radicals living in our country”. The security expert added in terms of

Spain, the public should listen to “what the foreign commonwealth office say”.  He continued: “They are being realistic in terms of trying to keep the general public aware.  “It shouldn’t

heed us in deciding where we want to go on our holidays. And Spain for many Brits, it’s estimated approximately that 15 million Brits a year will go to Spain on their holidays.  “We can’t

allow the terrorists to win.” Mr Geddes reassured the British public by insisting that there would be a high presence of police in Spain to react to potential threats.
