Terry, who has moved to Aston Villa after 492 games with Chelsea, was the first victim of a string of burglaries carried out by the gang.  They stole property worth more than £600,000 in

seven raids across Surrey and Sussex.  Police identified some members of the gang and kept them under surveillance before they were arrested.  Darren Easthaugh, 30, Joshua Sumer, 27, Roy

Head, 28, and Oliver Hart, 25, admitted conspiracy to burgle.  Yesterday, they were jailed for a total of 27 years and 11 months.  Detectives are still trying to trace other members of the

gang.  Judge Susan Tapping said of the raid on Terry: “It might have been a mistake to post a family photograph on social media to show he was away on holiday.”  Sumer, of Havant, Hants, was

jailed for eight years.  Head, of Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, was sentenced to seven years four months.  Easthaugh, of Bedfont, west London, got seven years and three months.  Hart, also of

Bedfont, was jailed for five years and four months.  Kye Hardy-King, 25, of Hounslow, west London, admitted handling stolen goods from some of the raids and was given a 12-month suspended

sentence.
