According to her Facebook page, Miss Cooper had studied art history and archeology at the University of California in Santa Barbara.
Her devastated aunt, Stacy Simmer, called her “a shining star” adding: “She did a lot of charity fundraising.
“She was studying archeology and she was in a wonderful sorority [female student group]. Her parents, Katie and Dan, left for Santa Barbara as soon as they heard.
“Her two brothers, Nick, 26, a chemist in Colorado, and Jon, still in college, are on their way there now. They were as close as any siblings can be.”
Miss Weiss, from Westlake Village in California, was in the same sorority as Katie.
She had been a member of the Westlake High School water polo team, her friends said.
The three male victims who were stabbed to death by Rodger have yet to be named.
