Fans of true crime documentaries can rejoice as Netflix has today released part two of hit show Making a Murderer. With 10 episodes now on Netflix, fans can continue to follow Steven Avery
and Brendan Dassey’s journey as their families and legal teams fight for justice. Making a Murderer Part 2 introduces viewers to Kathleen Zellner, Avery’s hard-charging post-conviction
lawyer, as she fights to prove that Avery was wrongly convicted and win his freedom. Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos follow Zellner, who has overturned more
wrongful convictions than any other private attorney in America. Zellner tirelessly works Avery and co-defendant nephew Brendan Dassey’s case and uncovers unexpected evidence about what may
have happened to Teresa Halbach. WHO IS STEVEN AVERY? Steven Avery is a convicted murderer from Two Rivers, Wisconsin. No stranger to the court system, Avery had previously been wrongfully
convicted of sexual assault and attempted murder as well as a string of other convictions. The 56-year-old served 18 years of a 32-year jail sentence for attempted murder before being
exonerated by DNA evidence. MAKING A MURDERER EPISODE GUIDE: TIMELINE OF STEVEN AVERY AND BRENDAN DASSEY MURDER CASE In 1982, Avery was blamed for the death of a cat when it was burnt alive
and was jailed for a few months, as well as being convicted for burglary. Of his two earlier convictions, Avery said: "I was young and stupid, and hanging out with the wrong
people." WHY WAS STEVEN AVERY SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON? The first part of Making a Murderer was filmed over ten years and focused on Avery’s exoneration of one crime and subsequent
conviction for a separate murder. MAKING A MURDERER SEASON 2 UPDATE: DOES STEVEN AVERY HAVE A GIRLFRIEND NOW? IS HE MARRIED? Avery was cleared of charges of sexual assault and attempted
murder of Penny Beernsten in 2003, but was then arrested for the murder of Teresa Halbach in 2005. Avery was arrested and charged with Halbach’s murder, kidnapping, sexual assault and
mutilation of a corpse. Despite his charges, Avery maintains his innocence and insists that he was framed. MAKING A MURDERER SEASON 2 UPDATE: HAS BRENDAN DASSEY BEEN RELEASED? WHERE IS HE
NOW? On March 18, 2007, Avery was found guilty of first-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm and acquitted on the corpse mutilation charge. He was sentenced to life in prison
