I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here airs every evening on ITV with 10 famous faces initially going in before two more stars went in after Ant and Dec announced their addition. The ITV

reality series is being held in the heart of the Australian bush over the course of three weeks - here is everything that viewers need to know about where exactly the camp is. 

The brand new series of I’m a Celebrity is back on ITV with plenty more disgusting Bushtucker trials on the horizon.

The full line-up has now been announced with 10 celebrities taking on the challenge of toughing it out in the Australian jungle.

Andrew Whyment and Cliff Parisi joined afterwards, leading some to ask why the former EastEnders actor left the soap. 

This year’s list includes television personality Caitlyn Jenner as well as Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle and Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway.

Hosting duo Declan Donnelly and Ant McPartlin will also be back presenting the new show after Ant took a year away from the series.

The series is filmed in a custom-built camp in Murwillumbah in New South Wales.

Up near the border with Queensland, the area is situated between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.

The camp is built into the rainforest area of the Springbrook National Park.

All of the series of the show apart from the first so far have been filmed in the location.

The 2002 series was filmed near Cairns in Queensland before the show made the move to a more permanent home.

The Springbrook National Park is part of Shield Volcano Group of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia.

It covers 15,310 acres with a variety of sections formed of mountains, creeks, waterfalls and plenty of wildlife.

I’m a Celebrity is filmed in the Springbrook Plateau section of the park.

The filming area set up in the area features the camp where the celebrities spend most of their time, as well as other surrounding built-up elements.

This includes on-site medical facilities and other backstage facilities, including a spot where the families and friends are housed during evictions.

Once the celebrities have left the jungle, they go on to stay in the five-star Palazzo Versace Australia hotel.

The luxury resort is located on Main Beach in Queensland on the Gold Coast.

Before the series began, the were some concerns about the escalating Bush Fires in New South Wales.

There, more than 50 bushfires are burning of which 28 remained uncontained, according to The Guardian.

For this year’s competition, reports suggested that the show’s producers were closely monitoring the situation.

An ITV spokeswoman told Express.co.uk: “We are in constant contact with the NSW fire brigade and are closely monitoring the situation.

“We currently have no cause for concern. The health and safety of all our production crew and celebrities are of the utmost importance.”
