The Chase is a popular game show on ITV and it sees host Bradley Walsh walk a panel of contestants through a series of questions in a bid to win cash. The aim of the game is for the
contestants to not get caught by the chaser, a professional quizzer who tries to stop them from winning the prize. A new chaser has just stepped up to try and stop the contestants in their
tracks, and here is everything you need to know about Darragh Ennis.
Fans may have seen the new chaser, Darragh Ennis, before as he was a former contestant on the game show back in 2017.
Following his performance, he was asked to join the rest of the chasers, and he will be the first new recruit to join since 2015.
Ennis tweeted about his new role, saying: "I'm really excited to be the 6th chaser on #TheChase. I've been working hard on this for a while now and can't wait for my episodes to air. Well,
the ones I win anyway."
Former contestant Mark Wallace welcomed him to the team. He said: "Congratulations! As a former contestant, always been hugely impressed by the Chasers.
"Plus @anne_hegerty was incredibly nice to us all even while trying to destroy us."

Fans have been suggesting nicknames for the new recruit, as all the chasers go by 'menacing' names to make the contestants nervous.
One fan suggested 'Ennis the Menace' which went down well with other viewers of the show - but his real nickname has not yet been revealed.
The episodes starring Ennis as the chaser are likely to air over the next few months, and fans are excited to see what demeanor he takes on.
During his 2017 performance, he managed to bag £9,000 for his team, but the other members all took minus offers, meaning his total was actually less.

I'm really excited to be the 6th chaser on #TheChase . I've been working hard on this for a while now and can't wait for my episodes to air. Well the ones I win anyway.
The Chase first started back in 2009 with just Mark 'The Beast' Labbett and Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace as the main chasers.
Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty joined in 2010 and Paul 'Sinnerman' Sinha followed a year later, with Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan being the latest addition.
The chasers have all risen to fame in different ways, with Hegarty featuring on a series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here in 2018.
The series has become so popular it now includes a celebrity special, as well as a family version, and a separate show called Beast the Chasers.
