Next week, Jimmy King (played by Nick Mies) and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) will be two of the characters starring in Emmerdale’s explosive week of episodes. A death has been teased with
some fans suspecting Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) as the victim, but in the trailer dropped by ITV yesterday, Jimmy is behind the wheel of one of the haulage vans. He is seen veering off a
lane and crashing into a barn - his fate is yet to be discovered. But what if Juliette Holliday (Amelia Curtis) is behind the crash in a bid to secure custody of Carl? Last night viewers
tuned in to see Nicola make a comment about Juliette “forgetting” about Carl despite her previous interest in getting to know her estranged son. In another scene, the married couple were in
the village cafe, and low and behold, the PI was sitting a few feet away from them, taking notes from their conversation. Those watching a home saw the investigator call someone and he
asked: “Did you get my invoice? What you’re asking me to do doesn’t come cheap. “I’ve just been watching them as it happens, they don’t look happy. The way things are going they won’t have a
penny left to pay for a solicitor. Once you get caught, Carl’s as good as yours.” Later that afternoon, Jimmy was back in the cafe speaking to a client on the phone about his current
circumstances as the PI continued to jot down his comments. READ MORE: EMMERDALE SPOILERS: MACKENZIE BOYD'S LOVER UNVEILED IN AFFAIR TWIST? Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) was sitting
opposite Jimmy and struck up a conversation with the van driver: “Sounds like it’s getting quite tough for you? Well, things will pick up. Don’t sweat it pal.” Could Mackenzie be recruited
by Juliette via the PI to distract Nicola and Jimmy in a bid to solidify her custody case? It comes after next weeks spoilers reveal how Jimmy’s wife will work for Mackenzie in an unlikely
pairing. In upcoming scenes, Jimmy will receive a phone call and learns it was Juliette who has been sabotaging their business opportunities which leaves him and Nicola extremely short of
funds for a legal battle. In a desperate bid, Nicola will take matters into her own hands and accepts a job with Mackenzie. Was Jimmy set up to crash by someone who may have tampered with
the van? And why was Mack ringing Jimmy to tell him about Nicola - perhaps he is involved with Juliette? After all, Mackenzie doesn’t matter who he does deals with as long as there’s lots
of money involved on his end. Express.co.uk spoke to Tanya Foster, a Family Law Consultant at LSL Family Law about Juliette’s plans to get sole/shared custody of Carl and whether she stood
a good chance. When asked what advantages Jimmy and Nicola have against Juliette, Tanya explained: “For Carl, Juliette has been absent for an incredibly long time. “They might argue that
Juliette has put her needs first, whereas the court’s priority is to put the children’s needs first. “The status quo is important, and this is definitely in their [Jimmy and Nicola]
favour,” she continued. “If they can show that Carl thrives in their stable home and community, that Carl has important relationships with his half-siblings and that they can promote Carl’s
relationship with Juliette, then it will be harder for Juliette to persuade a court that there should be any significant change for Carl." It seems Julliette is going to great lengths
to get rid of Jimmy and Nicola so she can look after her biological son alone. But would she go as far as getting involved with Mackenzie who in turn sabotaged Jimmy's van?
