The Communards singer Richard was paired up with one of the three professional dancer newcomers to the BBC ballroom dancing show - Dianne Buswell - and while the pair appeared to be getting

along well, it hasn't been plain-sailing.  The Strictly Come Dancing official Twitter account uploaded the new 60-second clip today, showing the 55-year-old's dancing skills as he

learned the steps.  A tired out Richard explained: "It's day one and I've just had two hours with Dianne in a dance studio in Glasgow. It was brilliant, I mean I'm very

conscious that I'm dancing not only with a brilliant dancer but a champion dancer so full marks to her for patience.  "Also I think her strategy is right, I need to learn the steps

before I start worrying about how graceless I look." Yet while the duo were having lots of laughs as Australian Dianne, 27, taught him some of the dance's signature moves, the

red-head then admitted that it was a tough schedule to get the musician up to scratch for the first show. "I'm really impressed with Richard, he has learnt a fair bit of the

routine already. There's still a lot of work, don't get me wrong," she warned. "There's still a lot of work to be done." She added with a laugh: "Two weeks

and he'll be fine." Richard also agreed that a fortnight was a very short period of time to get to the level required to wow judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey
