The 61-year-old dance professional revealed that he was left miffed over how Debbie, 59, had made such a mistake during her turns in the routine.  Speaking to Strictly Come Dancing host

Claudia Winkleman after she asked: “Bruno, let’s talk about Debbie. I know that some of the spins she didn’t quite get.” Bruno explained: “I don’t know actually if it was him or it was her

that was in the wrong positioning. They lost the grip.” However, he hailed Debbie and Giovanni as he continued about the lift: “Nevertheless, the flow of the movement. Look at that.  “Most

people do the Salsa in a very jagged staccato way. You shouldn’t be. You should be flowing and sensual and she did that without ever losing the rhythm.” While the dance wasn’t Debbie’s

finest hour, the routine was enough to send her through to the highly-coveted Blackpool Week on Strictly Come Dancing. She ended up getting a score of 35 from the judges and was in second

place between Davood Ghadami and Alexandra Burke who shared joint first place on the leaderboard. Debbie will be performing a Salsa to a Spice Girls medley next week when she takes to the

floor of the Blackpool Tower Room. Speaking about performing in the home of Ballroom, Debbie expressed her trepidation: “We’re so excited and we just want to thank everybody for voting for

us. Blackpool here we come!”  But things took an awkward turn as Claudia, 45, quizzed Giovanni, 57, about which Spice Girl he thought the former magician’s assistant was. “Definitely, cheeky

spice,” he told her but Claudia was not happy with the answer as she told him: “Okay… there wasn’t actually a cheeky spice.”  She went on to silence him, quipping: “Okay, a cheeky Spice

Girl - stop talking. I love you.” This evening saw Ruth Langsford become the seventh celebrity to leave the competition after she ended up in the dance-off.    _STRICTLY COME DANCING
