Joshua told he 'hasn't got a sense of reality' in brutal assessment

Renowned trainer Dominic Ingle believes Anthony Joshua ‘has lost his sense of reality’ after having ‘smoke blown up his a***’ for many years. Ingle’s comments come after Tyson Fury’s latest

attack on Joshua in which he branded him a ‘coward’ and admitted he would never fight him. When asked about the rant, Ingle gave an honest assessment of AJ’s mentality, and the mind games

Fury is playing in order to manipulate it. “Tyson’s always going to get into somebody’s head, and I think where Anthony Joshua is at the minute – I don’t think he knows where he is,” Ingle

told Boxing King Media. “Because when you’ve had people blowing smoke up your ar*e for the last ten years, or whatever it is, your ego gets inflated that much you haven’t got a sense of

reality. That happens with a lot of fighters. “The thing with Tyson is, Tyson has got a sense of reality, cause he’s been to the bottom, and he’s been to the top and back to the bottom, and

then back to the top. He comes from a travelling background, that’s as real as it gets. “That’ll do two things, it’ll either ruin Anthony in the sense that he won’t want to take the fight,

or it’ll fuel him up thinking ‘I’m going to prove him wrong.’ Maybe that’s what Tyson wants.” Joshua and Fury had been negotiating a deal to face each other on December 3 at the Principality

Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. However, communication dropped at the eleventh hour while both parties were supposed to be going back and forth to agree upon a marked-up set of terms. The pair

came closer in 2021 with a date and venue secured for the all-British showdown. But those plans were scrapped when a judge in the US court ruled that Deontay Wilder was due a third fight.

Joshua was then ordered to face WBO mandatory Oleksandr Usyk, placing the final nail in the coffin.
