Gary Neville has asked the people of Twitter to identity who he believes were the culprits for a series of prank calls which saw his phone ring all night. The Manchester United hero launched
an appeal on social media in attempt to find names for those responsible. He tweeted: “Hey everyone! Anyone know these?? Let me know as they think ringing me all night is great thanks!!!”
Neville accompanied the tweet with a series of images of the alleged perpetrators. Sky Sports colleague Jamie Carragher then responded, saying “I know 2 of them!!!!” Gary Neville then hit
back, explaining how he answered the phone this morning following another call. He replied to Carragher: “I didn’t have any doubt! “20 of them ringing constantly! Just had a lovely
conversation with one of them. “Now tell them to do one!” Carragher then retweeted a response from one fan: “They’ll be the two you gave his number to Jamie.” It’s not the first time Neville
has been prank called either. There is a video on YouTube from back in December 2016 which features a call allegedly with Neville in which the 44-year-old fumes at the prankster. When the
offender is quizzed on where he got the number, he tells Neville that he got it from Tony Adams’ son. The clip has racked up over 83,000 views online and has since resurfaced today following
Neville’s tweets this morning.
