A Manchester United chef brutally responded to Jose Mourinho after he reportedly called the food at the club ’s***’. Mourinho spent two-and-a-half years at Old Trafford between 2016 and

2018, winning the EFL Cup and Europa League during that time as well as steering the Red Devils to second in the Premier League table. He was sacked by Manchester United after overseeing a

difficult start to the Premier League season. Ed Woodward axed him in December and chose to name Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as his temporary, then permanent, successor. The Athletic say that

Mourinho thought everything at Old Trafford was ’s***’ during his time there, including the food. And a chef reportedly hit back at the 56-year-old by saying: “This food won 13 league

titles.” The report also opens up on Mourinho’s departure from United. It’s claimed that the Red Devils chose to sack him after he’d seen the club become the 15th best side defensively in

the top flight. Previously, United had the best defensive record. But the United hierarchy thought it was too drastic a drop-off and thought Mourinho’s doom and gloom mood wore everybody

down. Ultimately, they had no choice but to sack Mourinho - who has been out of work ever since. He’s been linked with the Arsenal job but talkSPORT man Adrian Durham believes that he may

end up managing Tottenham instead. Mauricio Pochettino is under pressure at Spurs and a move away from the club could be forthcoming. And Durham said: “You’re looking at Spurs and Arsenal

and I think that for Arsenal, Jose Mourinho is exactly what Arsenal need. “But I think it’s even more compelling that he’s what Spurs need. “Could you imagine the conversation with [Spurs

chairman] Daniel Levy where Mourinho says ‘I want this player for £120m’ and Levy says ‘well you’ve got to get [Victor] Wanyama out, you’ve got to get [Harry] Winks out, you’ve got to do

this and do that’. “This is exactly why they need Jose Mourinho, because he would turn around to Levy and say ‘well I’m going, I’m not going to bother with that’, in fact, he probably

wouldn’t sign in the first place because he wouldn’t put up with that. “Jose Mourinho being appointed manager of Spurs would change the culture and the way they do things completely. “He is

exactly what they need because they are so starved of success. “They have been feebly tapping at the door of the elite level for a little while under Pochettino, without any realistic notion

of breaking through that door. “Jose Mourinho would smash that door down.”
