Google Maps Street View is used by many as a way to examine locations for geographical purposes. However, the tool also throws up a selection of very intriguing sights that often pique the
interest of users. It’s the strangest of these scenes that often go viral online. The snapshot shows a group of tourists standing around. They look to be near a car park as they brave the
cold weather. However, something is clearly amiss. If one looks at the pair in the foreground, their bodies are completely distorted. While their lower halves seem entirely normal, from
their chest upwards they simply don’t exist. DON'T MISS Where their head and shoulders should be is thin air. This strange occurrence doesn’t look to have just affected these two,
either. To the right, a man in a black hooded jacket is standing alone. The upper half of his body is as it should be but from the knees down there is nothing there at all. What has happened
to these ghostly figures? Sometimes with such photos, photography splicing causes a problem due to the way the images form. When taking the photo, the 360-degree cameras shoot multiple
pictures to create a seamless image. However, moving objects often ruin the scene as they shift when the photos are taken. It’s possible the peoples’ movement as the images were taken
resulted in the strange photo.
