P&O Cruises scooped four awards - Best for the Mediterranean, Best for Value, Best for Ex-UK as well as Best Cruise Line for Value for Money.  Princess Cruises collected two awards for

Best for Alaska and Best for Asia.  And Cunard picked up the award for Best for World Cruise.  The Cool Cruises Awards are run by trade publication Travel Weekly and are now in their fourth

year.  They are voted for by more than 10,000 travel agents across the UK and were presented at a venue within The Globe Theatre complex on London's Southbank. "Travel agents

remain responsible for a vast majority of our bookings and are pivotal to our success as a business," said Carnival UK VP sales, Alex White. "It is great to see that so many got

involved and voted for our brands, we are delighted to be recognised in so many of the categories."  Princess Cruises has also been recognised for its environmental excellence.  It was

presented with the Green Gateway Partner Award at the World Trade Center in Seattle for prioritising environmental issues.  Its ships' onboard activities include a Discovery At Sea

programme that helps families to learn the stories behind the destinations they visit by meeting local and animal and plant experts.  Roger Frizell, Chief Communications Officer for Carnival

Corporation, says: "As a global corporation and across all 10 of our industry-leading cruise line brands, we are firmly committed to responsible  sustainability practices to protect

and maintain healthy oceans, seas and ports of call.  "It is not just an operating necessity - one that involves oversight from out corporation's Board of Directors - but it is the

right thing to do."  Princess Cruises offers excursions recommended by Discovery At Sea and Animal Planet with exclusive tours that are unique to Princess.  For more information go to
