The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 12 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.    The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received

12 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.    The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Cargomax

International, Quebec, Canada (Israel Turgeon, president); CMC Logistics Corp., Guaynabo, Puerto Rico (Abianngeli Capellan, president); Mahomi Cargo Express, Miami (Cinthya N. Miranda,

president); and Southport C.F.S. Corp., Medley, Fla. (Maria V. Arbelaez, president).    The agency also received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Compass Logistics and

Marine, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Gordon D. James, member); and Las Americas Travel, Cargo and Courier, Pompano Beach, Fla. (Robert B. Gross, manager).    In addition, the FMC received license

applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Cargo Logistics Group, Hanover, Md. (Brandon Hart, secretary); ISS Marine Services, Mobile, Ala. (Thomas Damsgaard, president); and

Manaco International Forwarders, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Rosana C. Chinea, chief operating officer); for a name change and business structure change to Global Fairways LLC from Global

Fairways Inc., Romulus, Mich. (Lori L. Fleissner, president); for removing trade name Seabridge Lamprecht from American Lamprecht Transport, Lawrence, Ky. (Martin Kaegi, vice president); and

for the addition of trade name Sobel Network Forwarding from Network Brokers International, Rockville Centre, N.Y. (Brian Wills, president).    Persons knowing of any reason why an

applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC's Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington, D.C. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications

approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) - both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs - are also available on the FMC website. TO CONTINUE READING THIS ARTICLE... ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT?
