Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. has ordered two 300,000-deadweight-ton double-hulled very large crude carriers. With the addition of the two very large crude carriers (VLCCs), “K”Line’s
VLCC fleet will expand to seven, all of which will be double-hulled. The two ships are scheduled to be completed by the Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corp. shipyard in December 2006 and April
2007, respectively.
