A cocaine and ketamine dealer has been locked up for his role in an overseas drugs conspiracy. Luke Wilson was tracked down by the French authorities where an encrypted server was decoded

which was being used internationally by criminals. The investigation was instigated in 2020 and found evidence of use on Teesside. The devices were then traced to individuals in the area;

and police were able to retrieve data including messages, call logs and images which showed Wilson, 30, was an active cocaine and ketamine drug dealer. Two drugs warrants were carried out at

addresses linked to the information, both on Rosewood Court in Marton, Middlesbrough. Class A and B drugs were recovered. In February 2024, the Hemlington man pleaded guilty to possession

with intent to supply class A drugs, cultivating cannabis, conspiracy to supply class A drugs and conspiracy to supply class B drugs. On Monday, Wilson, of Eddison Way, was sentenced to

eight years and eight months in prison at Teesside Crown Court. A hearing is scheduled to take place under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA), to determine whether there are any assets that

can be recovered from his criminal activity, which will then be confiscated. Investigating officer, Detective Constable Brayfield, said: “This investigation has seen offences carried out in

Cleveland which were linked to overseas class A and B drugs activity. Working together with French police and in partnership with other forces, officers were able to track down those

involved and carry out drugs warrants at properties where class A and B drugs were recovered. “Let this be a warning to anyone who is involved in drugs activity; no matter where in the world

the offences take place, you will be tracked down and brought to justice.” Anyone with information regarding drugs activity in their area can contact Cleveland Police on 101, or independent

charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111. JOIN TEESSIDE LIVE'S WHATSAPP COMMUNITY FOR COURT AND CRIME NEWS SENT
