Neighbourhoods across the Stockton borough have been left reeling after a spate of terrifying arson attacks on homes and vehicles. Investigations are being carried out into several


incidents, some of which were reportedly "petrol bomb" attacks. Cleveland Police have said the latest attacks on Monday night through to the early hours of Tuesday morning are


thought to have been "targeted". They are investigating whether they are linked. Meanwhile extra officers have been deployed in the area and they will remain for the time being.


Here is a timeline of the recent incidents and key details: SWALE ROAD, NORTON Incidents on Sunday into Monday kicked off with the torching of a car on a driveway. The Jeep, was destroyed in


the blaze on Swale Road, in Norton, on Sunday evening. Police were on the scene throughout the night and cordoned off the area. A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said:


"Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on June 1 at 8:59pm to an incident on Swale Road in Norton. Two fire engines were in attendance from Stockton." HOWARD PLACE/NEWTON WALK


TARGETED TWICE Gun shots were reportedly fired at a house on Howard Place in the Tilery area of Stockton late on Sunday night. Officers cordoned off the house and remained there overnight.


It is understood the alarm was raised shortly after 10pm following what was thought to be gunfire. A second incident occurred at the property the following night when a front door was


reportedly set alight. A spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on June 3 at 1.13am to a fire at the front of a house on Newton Walk. Two


fire engines attended from Stockton. "Hose reel used. Fire damage to front window. The incident is under investigation with Cleveland Police." HAVERTON HILL COMPOUND BLAZE Six


vans and a forklift truck went up in flames with crews from three fire stations tackling the fire through the early hours on Monday morning. A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said:


"Cleveland Fire Brigade was called on June 2 at 12.33am to an incident at Hope Street, Haverton Hill. Three fire engines in attendance from Billingham, Middlesbrough, and Stockton.


"Two jets and two breathing apparatus used. Six vans and one forklift in compound severely damaged by fire. We got the stop call at 2.03am." RALEIGH ROAD CARAVAN FIRE A caravan


parked near a home on Raleigh Road in Norton Grange was destroyed by fire in the early hours of Monday.Pictures show severe damage to the front of the caravan, which was parked off the road


in front of a house. A spokesperson for the fire brigade said: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on June 2 at 00:38am to an incident at Raleigh Road, Norton Grange Stockton. One fire


engine in attendance from Stockton. Two breathing apparatus used. "One caravan destroyed by fire. The police are aware of the incident. We got the stop call at 1.11am." APPLETON


ROAD, PRIMROSE HILL A car and garage door were also severely damaged by fire on Monday. Emergency services were called just before 2am to Appleton Road in the Primrose Hill area of Stockton.


A grey Vauxhall Corsa was severely damaged by the blaze. A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on June 2 at 1.52am to an incident at


Appleton Road, Primrose Hill Stockton. Two fire engines in attendance from Yarm and Stockton. One breathing apparatus used. PIPER KNOWLE ROAD IN HARDWICK A car was reportedly petrol-bombed


at Piper Knowle Road in the Hardwick area of the town late on Monday night. A spokesperson for the fire brigade said they were called to a car on fire on a driveway at 11.25pm. "Two


crews attended from Stockton Fire Station and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire," they said. "The incident is under investigation with Cleveland Police." WINDMILL


TERRACE, TILERY A car was targeted at about 11.45pm on Monday. It occurred about four hours after the resident and next-door neighbours were reportedly advised to leave and move somewhere


safe. The resident who lives in the targeted property had reportedly moved to a relative's house before the attack, which occurred at about 11.45pm on Monday. A neighbour said:


"The police asked me if I could move somewhere safe. "They said we have to take the threat of a petrol bomb seriously. She said we'll put you in a safe house and I said


I've got family. I stayed with my son." A spokesperson for the fire brigade said: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called to a car fire which had spread to a house on Windmill


Terrace in Stockton at 11.30pm yesterday (Monday, June 2). Two crews attended from Thornaby Fire Station and used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilator to


extinguish the fire. "There was fire damage to the door and smoke damage to the property. The incident is under investigation with Cleveland Police." TREFOIL COURT, NORTON Police


said it is thought an accelerant was thrown towards a house at 12.55am on Tuesday. The fire was extinguished by the householder. Cleveland Fire Brigade confirmed they did not attend this


incident. A police car could be seen parked outside a property on the street on Tuesday. ALDER ROAD AND NORTHBOURNE ROAD, PRIMROSE HILL Police received a report that a weapon had been fired


at an address on Alder Road at 12:30am. Four hours later, a further report was made of a person with a weapon in neighbouring Northbourne Road at 4.30am. A 32-year-old man and a 33-year-old


woman were arrested at around 4pm at an address on Bishopton Road, both on suspicion of robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. Enquiries are ongoing but


officers have not ruled out links with other similar incidents in Stockton over the last week. HAVE THERE BEEN ANY ARRESTS? Following the incidents on Sunday and Monday, police said they


arrested four people on suspicion of arson with intent. The three men aged 28 and a 15-year-old boy remain in custody being questioned. A vehicle suspected of being linked to the incidents


was discovered damaged on Hive Close. Just after 9pm on Sunday June 1, officers received a report about a number of arson incidents as well as a firearms discharge. Investigating officers


have since arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of arson with intent and possession of a firearm. A 38-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and she was


bailed pending further enquiries. A second woman, aged 28, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson and she was bailed with conditions. Two arrests were also made - a


32-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman - in connection with the incidents in Alder Road and Northbourne Road. WHAT HAVE CLEVELAND POLICE SAID? On Monday, the force issued a statement in


relation to the events which occurred late Sunday and into the following morning. A spokesperson said: "Fortunately, no one was injured in these incidents. "Three males aged 28 and


a 15-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent and all remain in police custody at this time. "Enquiries are continuing. Officers are carrying out high


visibility patrols in regard to the areas affected and would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to those officers in person or call Cleveland Police on 101 with any concerns."


Following the further incidents on Monday night and Tuesday morning, a further statement was issued. It reads: "Overnight (Monday into Tuesday) police received reports of incidents on


Heaton Road, Piper Knowle Road, Windmill Terrace, Trefoil Court and Newton Walk in Stockton where accelerants were discharged onto vehicles or towards addresses. "No-one was injured in


these incidents and whilst officers are keeping an open mind into these incidents which are believed to be targeted and not random, we are investigating whether they may be linked with


previously reported incidents from Sunday/Monday. Officers remain in the affected areas conducting high visibility reassurance patrols and extensive enquiries continue." Superintendent
