A bar owner has been left furious after a passerby defecated on the door step of the establishment. Victoria Gill, owner of Macy Brown's Kitchen and Cocktail Bar in Whitby, was
horrified to be told by staff that excrement was found on the steps of the business on Thursday, May 29 around 4.30pm. Presuming that it was dog dirt, Victoria and her staff looked on their
cameras to try and find the owner responsible but found that it was left by a human instead. In a top prime spot and at the beginning of the summer tourist season, Victoria was left furious
that somebody would do this outside a venue that serves food and cocktails. Victoria has owned the business for one year and has never had any incidents like this before. She told Yorkshire
Live: "It is disgusting and shocking behaviour. One of my chefs had just been outside and had informed me that poo was found on the step just as you enter the building. "At first
we thought that it was dog poo, so we went to look on the CCTV cameras to see if the owner was recognisable. It was a shock to see that it was actually human poo and a man standing there on
the steps shaking his trouser leg then defecate on the ground and walk away . "A few people did see him do it." She added: "It is annoying as there are public toilets right
next door to us. In fact they could have just come in and used our facilities if they were that desperate but they are just for customers. "If it was dog poo, the owner would be fined
but since it is human faeces - no one gets punished except the staff member who had to clean it up. It is not something somebody would own up to but we just want an apology as it could have
damaged our reputation." GO here FOR THE LATEST TEESSIDE BREAKING NEWS JOIN TEESSIDE LIVE'S WHATSAPP COMMUNITY FOR TOP STORIES AND BREAKING NEWS SENT DIRECTLY TO YOUR PHONE
