Join us on WhatsAppTired of feeling tired all of the time? If so, an NHS GP may have the reason why after identifying the most common causes of the ailment. Dr Amir Khan, who you may recognise from his
appearances on ITV shows such as Lorraine, took to TikTok to share his insights.
According to the NHS, adults need an average of seven to nine hours' sleep, whilst children should be getting between nine and 13 hours depending on their age. The health services
recommends you see a doctor if you've been feeling tired for a few weeks and you're not sure why, your tiredness affects your daily life and/or you feel tired and have other
symptoms, such as weight loss or mood changes, or you've been told you're making gasping, snorting or choking noises when you're asleep.
In the meantime, Dr Khan has provided an extensive list of reasons as to why you may be suffering. "As GPs it's one of the things we get asked about most and there are so many
possibilities," he began in a video.
