pipe of no more than 500 millimetres diameter through a headwall affecting no more than 1.5 metres of the river bank on a main river. If the diameter of the outfall is less than 300mm you


may be able to register an exemption. These rules do not allow you to construct outfalls on or within: * 8 metres of a flood defence * 50m of another outfall structure on the same river bank
