Awami Itihad Party (AIP) chairman and MLA Langate Er Rashid on Wednesday alleged that communal forces are highly polarising the situation in J&K and are using state machinery especially
in police to bulldoze the genuine voices of a particular community in winter capital. Addressing media persons here, he said that social activist Talib Hussain has been booked in “fabricated
case” only to push Kathua rape and murder case under the carpet. “Be it shameful conspiracy against the renowned social and political activist Talib Hussain, mysterious death of Murfad
Shah or killing of cattle merchant in Gool Gulabgrah, every incident gives ample evidence that communal forces are highly polarizing the situation and using state machinery especially Jammu
police to bulldoze the genuine voices in Jammu region,” he said. Er Rashid appealed human rights organisations to intervene and ensure that “Jungle Raj comes to an end in Jammu before it is
too late.” He added that since Talib Hussain’s hard and sincere efforts which had helped in reaching to the real culprits involved in minor’s rape and murder case had been endorsed by all
genuine voices cutting across religious, regional ethnic and other affiliations. “Those always indulging in conspiracies against the members of a particular community managed through money
power taking advantage of Talib’s family dispute, only to ensure that Talib and other key witnesses in Kathua murder case are pressurized and debarred from giving testimony before the
honorable court,” he said.
