A 36-year-old man was killed when his car ran off Harbison Canyon Road and down an embankment, authorities said.
Michael Walter Hannsz of Alpine was southbound on Harbison Canyon Road, about a mile south of Collier Way in El Cajon, when he lost control on a curve about 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, California
Highway Patrol Officer Jackie Sturges said.
The car ran off the east side of the road, overturning several times as it plunged down a 60-foot embankment, Sturges said.
Hannsz was taken to Valley Medical Center, where he died at 3:12 a.m., said Bill Leard, an investigator for the medical examiner’s office.
