Kodak Introduces Digital Camera: The camera from Eastman Kodak Co., priced at less than $1,000, allows photographers to store pictures on removable personal computer storage cards. The
Rochester, N.Y.-based company said the DC50 zoom-lens camera will make it easier for businesses such as insurance companies and real estate agencies to take pictures in the field. Digital
cameras use computer chips instead of traditional film and negatives to capture and manipulate images. They allow businesses to store pictures on computers. With the DC50, claims adjusters
and real estate agents will be able to reload the PC cards much like they would a roll of film.
