HOUSTON — Country singer Lyle Lovett was trampled by a bull and broke his leg Wednesday while trying to help an uncle who had just been flipped by the animal. Lovett had surgery on his right
leg Wednesday night, said Memorial Hermann Hospital spokeswoman Beth Sartori. “He was in good condition on arrival,” she said. Lovett, 44, was injured on his uncle’s farm in suburban
Houston. A bull reportedly flipped Lovett’s uncle Calvin Klein, 67, and Lovett was trampled while trying to help him. Klein was taken to Tomball Regional Hospital suffering from chest pain
trauma. He underwent X-rays and a CT scan, all of which were clear, said hospital spokeswoman Karen Frye. Lovett suffered a compound fracture to his lower right leg, just below the kneecap,
